Griezmann Brace Lifts Orlando City Past Real Salt Lake, 2–1

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando City earned a 2–1 victory over Real Salt Lake on Saturday, August 22, with Antoine Griezmann scoring twice to complete the comeback and secure all three points for the Lions.

Real Salt Lake opened the scoring in the 36th minute when Dominik Marczuk found the back of the net, giving the visitors a 1–0 advantage heading toward halftime. Despite Orlando controlling much of the possession, Salt Lake made the most of its opportunities and forced the home side to chase the match.

Orlando responded after the break, with Griezmann bringing the match level in the 53rd minute. The equalizer shifted momentum back toward the Lions as they continued to control the ball and search for the go-ahead goal.

Both teams recorded eight shots, while Salt Lake placed four on target compared with Orlando’s two. Despite creating fewer shots on frame, Orlando was clinical when the opportunities arrived.

With Griezmann providing the decisive moments, Orlando City walked away with a hard-earned 2–1 victory after overcoming an early deficit.
